What can people expect in your Mighty classes?
I like to design classes that encourage each student to focus their attention inward, breathe deep, and challenge themselves in a safe and supportive space. Moreover, I try to create an environment where students can embrace their bodies, move freely and intelligently, and cultivate a playful attitude. Great music, laughter, and silliness galore!
Lara has been practicing yoga with joy since 2004. When she discovered a 200-hour certification in the jungle of Costa Rica in 2012, it seemed like a great match. Lara decided to combine her love for teaching and yoga and share the practice with others. She trained with Vidya Jaqueline Heisel, the founder and director of Frog Lotus International, in the Vinyasa Flow style. In 2013, Lara completed a 50-hour training with Jennilee Toner in Hot Warrior Yoga, and became certified to teach a 50-Asana series that is a creative fusion of Hot Hatha and Hot Vinyasa. She has also taken various workshops to continue her education with brilliant instructors such as Doug Swenson, David Kyle, and Sean Conley.

Why do you practice yoga?
Yoga is powerful medicine: challenging, nourishing, and highly addictive! I love that I can walk into a yoga studio in a new or foreign place and be met with positive energy and a sense of community almost instantly. A well-rounded yoga practice makes me feel grounded, fiery, peaceful and spacious all at once. What a gift!
What fuels you?
Nature is number one! Fresh air, trees, climbing to the top of a big hill or mountain to gain perspective, swimming, singing, sledding, stretching and dancing with reckless abandon! My spectacular friends, learning from kids (and giggling with them), my massive family, super salads, veggie wraps, and kombucha cocktails!
