Studio Manager

Mighty Yoga is looking for a dedicated and organized professional to manage the day to day running of the studio.  The ideal candidate for this leadership role is a team player with problem-solving skills, follow-through, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills. Must be self-driven and a self-starter with an outgoing personality. Though applicants need not be yoga teachers, a passion for yoga is a must! The position is approximately 15 hours per week.

Essential Tasks:

  • Create a supportive, welcoming culture and community within the studio

  • Support our students through responses to questions, feedback, etc

  • Manage the studio by example, consistently performing all tasks and communication at the highest level.

  • Oversee and manage the day-to-day sales & running of the studio.  Hire, train & supervise  desk staff.

Job Details:

  • Remain current on studio offerings and sell our studio class and membership offerings.

  • Hire, train and manage administrative staff, including Assistant Manager & Desk Staff.

  • Work with Studio Owner & Director to conceive and execute targeted grassroots-direct marketing campaigns to optimize exposure.

  • Conceptualize and cultivate partnerships like-minded businesses and organizations in the Ithaca community to spread Mighty’s aim for sharing health and wellness to all.

  • Manage maintenance issues, inventory, and cleaning.

  • Maintain a presence at the studio, including covering 2-3 desk shifts.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills

  • Strong leadership skills and aptitude to work successfully in a team.

  • Solid project/time management, problem-solving, organizational skills

  • Self-driven, self-starter with an outgoing personality

  • Familiarity with yoga industry and Ithaca & Mighty community

  • Ability to multi-task and learn quickly

  • Ability to build strong, long-term professional relationships

  • Ability to communicate clearly and with love

  • Proficiency in in Microsoft Office programs, Gmail and Google Applications

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to handle and resolve conflicts in a professional, tactful manner

  • Supervisory/Managerial/Sales experience preferred

NOTE:  Depending on the skill set, experience, interest and availability of the candidate, the Studio Manager & Assistant Manager roles could be combined into a single ~25-30 hr/wk position.
