Favorite yoga pose: Ardha Chandrasana because some days it eludes me and some days I feel as if I’m soaring!

What fuels you? I’ll be 50 this year and I still just want to play and be dorky. I hope I remain dorky for the rest of my days.

My NON-guilty pleasure is... coffee dates with my husband (with a slab of chocolate cake).

Name: Hannah Swegarden

Favorite yoga pose: Revolved Triangle...it's one part of the practice that helps me twist out all sorts of bad energy, stretch the whole body, and, at the same time, makes me feel like I'm weaving through museum security laser lights.

Yoga is...a companion.

My NON-guilty pleasure is... giving my roommate's dog an extra treat now-and-then.

When I wake up in the morning, I always do these two things...  A) make a French press of coffee and B) drink it all.

What makes you Mighty? 
My resilient nature. 

What's your yoga story? How did you start practicing?
My first exposure to yoga was in acting class where I met a fellow student who exuded a magnetic glow that I wanted. I was curious what was the source of this glow? I asked him what he did? He said, “I teach Yoga.” I was intrigued by the idea of trying yoga but I was afraid I would not be good at it.

Why did you decide to teach Yoga?
I can’t remember a moment where I decided.  I do remember reaching out to a lot of the wonderful teachers in my community, about their opinions on trainings.  It naturally fell into place as a next step, as things to do when you lead with your heart.
   

Any tips for someone new to Yoga?
HIGH FIVE!  Way to go.  You made it.  That’s the hardest part.  Now, just enjoy getting to know yourself.
