A Deeper Dive
Throughout the training, we will enhance our understanding of ancient yoga teachings and how they apply to our modern world via the study of yoga texts, expert guest teachers, and a variety of other sources.
Through these avenues, you will have the opportunity to delve into yoga philosophy in a way that will deepen and enhance your own yoga practice as well as your yoga teaching. Be prepared to leave the training feeling empowered both on and off the mat.
This training will provide you with a solid foundation in pose alignment, creative sequencing, and finding your authentic voice as a teacher. You will learn not only how to teach a yoga class, but how to create a safe and powerful yoga experience for your students. With daily teaching practice and attention to developing the skills of an effective teacher, you will leave the training equipped with all of the tools you need to teach and to feel confident doing so.
The training will cover:
Connecting to your intuition
Meditation & breathwork
Yoga history & philosophy
Chakra system & energy body
Yoga anatomy & physiology
Pose study & alignment
Smart, safe, creative, fun sequencing
Trauma-informed teaching
Finding your unique teaching voice and style
A Message from Heather Healey - Owner of Mighty Yoga & lead YTT instructor
This training is one of the most transformative programs we offer through Mighty.
We have been running small-group teacher trainings since 2014, and have graduated over 165 teachers. It is my intention to lead our trainees to connect more authentically to themselves and their practice through this training. We create a powerful community while on this journey together.
I’ve been teaching yoga for 17 years (over 2,000 classes & 10,000 students!) and I learn something new every time I step onto my mat or lead a class. There are so many beautiful and transformational aspects to this practice. There is nothing more powerful to me than leading a group of people who are moving and breathing (and often sweating!) together in a shared space - each with individual experiences on their mat.
Meet Your Teachers
Heather Healey - Mighty Studio Owner & Director
Heather has completed 200-hr and 300-hr trainings, as well as over 120 additional training hours, including prenatal yoga, restorative yoga, yoga anatomy, and trauma-sensitive yoga. She teaches because of the profound impacts it has had on her own life - which are continually evolving every time she steps onto her mat, and she hopes to share that with others.
Kim Wenger Hall
Kim Wenger Hall is an E-RYT 500 with 3,000+ hours of teaching experience. After her first 200hr YTT with Angie Follensbee Hall, she has completed two 300-hour trainings, most recently an alignment-focused 300-hour with Amy Ippoliti of Vesselify Yoga, along with extensive study in yoga therapeutics, biomechanics, pelvic floor health, and adaptive yoga. Kim teaches because she loves helping people get curious about their bodies, find more freedom in how they move, and keep discovering what’s possible.
Rachel Bush
Rachel is a yoga teacher and teacher trainer, Ayurvedic Practitioner, and Licensed Massage Therapist with over two decades of experience. Her teaching blends alignment-based movement, breath awareness, and deep inner listening. Her gentle, grounded presence creates a safe space for students to soften, open, and reconnect with their inner wisdom.

Inclusion Scholarship
Since yoga’s journey from east to west, there has been an undeniable underrepresentation of BIPOC teachers and students in yoga spaces.
As part of our commitment to help diversify the yoga teacher community, and in turn, the yoga community overall, we are happy to offer 2 partial (50% off) scholarships to members of the BIPOC & LGBTQIA+ communities who are interested in becoming a certified yoga teacher, and have a strong desire to impact their community through sharing the practices of yoga.
We have a competitive applications process. Applications are accepted through 9/30. Scholarship winners will be chosen based on financial need and commitment to community impact through yoga. Apply Here
*Scholarship applicants must also fill out the Teacher Training application form.
Additionally, if you live in Vermont we encourage you to check out Vermont Student Assistance Corporation (VSAC) need-based scholarship opportunities.

Nope! We’ve had people join our training with just a few months of regular practice under their belt. We’ve also had people join who have stepped away from their practice and are using the training as a way to help come back. The only thing required is a deep desire to learn more about yoga.
-
That’s awesome, and this training is still an incredible, life-changing experience. About 40% of our graduates take the training primarily to expand their own practice.
-
The community we build during the weekends together throughout this training is truly an unmatched experience. We also focus on connecting the lessons back to yourself. We also strongly feel that if you want to teach in-person yoga classes, then you need to take an in-person yoga teacher training.
-
Magic! This was our 2025 graduates favorite part of their training. We bring everybody together from both studios for four days and step into this container where you don't have all of your regular roles and responsibilities that you're trying to juggle in and outside of our time together. In this time, we can dive into our study and forge deeper connections.
-
We have our weekends in person and beyond that you should plan to commit about 5 hours per week for the duration of the training which includes the Zoom sessions, homework, and taking classes at the studio. We hope that you step in & commit to the personal growth - the more you put in, the more you get out.
-
Yes! Our curriculum has been reviewed and approved by Yoga Alliance so by completing the training, you will be able to apply for your RYT 200 Yoga Teacher designation which is the most common certification yoga studios ask for.
-
Yes! If teaching is something you’d like to do - we do A LOT of practice teaching, sequencing work, alignment, anatomy and cueing and all of that fun stuff that leads you into being able to teach a class. And at the end of the training, you will teach a class. This is something that we feel is really, really, really important - that you have all of the tools and the practice under your belt to be ready to jump in.
-
We offer partial need-based Inclusion Scholarships each training, as part of our commitment to help diversify the yoga teacher community, and in turn, the yoga community overall. (see Application above)
-
Let’s talk. We offer make-up options if you have to miss part of the training (up to a few days).
