Anna Babcock
I first stepped into a yoga class as a stressed-out college student, searching for something to quiet my anxious mind. From the very first class, I felt a sense of familiarity from my years of dancing ballet growing up, but this experience was different. Instead of striving for perfection or comparison, yoga invited me to connect with my body and my breath with curiosity and compassion. I left the studio with what I could only describe to my friends as a "sparkly" feeling, and I couldn't wait to understand what made this practice so transformative.
Over the past 17 years, I’ve explored many different styles of yoga, practicing in studios in every city I called home while navigating adulthood. Through every move and every season of life, my yoga practice remained a constant, helping me reconnect with myself along the way.
Today, my practice extends far beyond the mat. The insights I've gained through yoga have shaped how I move through life, not only as an individual, but especially as a mother. Through my yoga practice, I continue to find a sense of grounding within myself, my family, and my community.
I truly believe everyone can benefit from cultivating more connection, presence, and calm, and yoga offers a beautiful pathway to all three. One of my favorite parts of being at Mighty is welcoming people as they begin their yoga journey while also supporting those who have practiced for years and continue to deepen their connection through community. Whether it's your very first class or your thousandth, I'm honored to be part of your journey.
