When I first stepped onto a yoga mat during my freshman year of college, I was looking for something simple: a complement to my running routine and a way to manage the stress of a new environment. What I didn't expect was for that first class to become something so much bigger.
Yoga quickly became more than a physical practice — it became my way of finding community. In a season of life where everything felt new and uncertain, showing up on my mat gave me a sense of connection I hadn't found anywhere else, even if just for an hour or two each week. That's stayed true ever since.
Today, my practice is one of the most reliable ways I have to reconnect with my body and reset my mind. Over the years, it's also become more intentional — instead of simply following along, I check in with myself throughout each class and ask what my body actually needs in that moment. That's a philosophy I carry into my teaching, too. My goal as an instructor is always to offer options, so every student can find what works for them, wherever they are that day.
Off the mat, I work full-time as a Registered Dietitian at Dartmouth Hitchcock, and I spend my free time outdoors as much as possible with my partner and our many pets.
I can't wait to join the Mighty Yoga team and bring classes that incorporate great music, modifications for all bodies and a space to reset and reconnect!
