Dorota Kossowska

My first yoga class was an exploration of movement after an injury that left me feeling vulnerable and wary of moving my body and hurting myself again. Erica and her Unwind class was exactly what my mindbody needed.

Yoga has taught me to be soft and gentle with my body, to use props, to modify, and that some days just breathing is enough. Yoga has taught me to be flexibly resilient in life!

I try new poses with less fear and I have more trust in myself and my body. I am filled with deep gratitude for what my body can do. The mobility and flexibility I have slowly (but surely!) gained from a regular yoga practice supports my resistance training journey as I focus on movement to build muscle mass and bone density.

Outside of Mighty I work as a registered nurse. You’ll find me bopping around Ithaca visiting all of my friends with a Wide Awake pastry and Gimme coffee in hand! I am a little spider weaving my web of connection and community and I am so thankful that Mighty is a part of it.
