My current yoga practice came into my life through a friend suggesting I go check out a class right up the street. I ended up finding it exceptional. At the time where a lot was happening in my life, yoga helped me learn how to check in with my body. I made a commitment to practice every day I could, so I could learn more. After about 6 months of practicing nearly every day, I had really begun to understand how this practice helps relieve stress and create a more conscious connection with oneself. It also became clear to me that there was a lot more to this practice that I really wanted to know more about. So, I signed up for the yoga teacher training at Mighty Yoga.
Through training, I realized how much more there was to learn about this beautiful practice, and how many different ways there were to help oneself through yoga. It provided ways to not just take care of one's physical body, but also the emotional and mental aspects of living life day to day. I quickly began to want to make yoga a bigger part of my life, so I signed up to be a teacher. Now as a teacher my intention is to teach classes so that others have a chance to experience the positive benefits yoga can have. I am super grateful to have this opportunity to teach a practice that has been so beneficial to me in so many ways.
